The Specs, Straight Up
The 400W rating is what you get—solid, dependable heat output. Now, here’s the thing about how it’s powered. In a lot of industrial setups, it runs on 400V, not your standard wall outlet voltage. That higher voltage keeps the current lower, which means less strain on your wiring. It also lets you use smaller switches and terminals. The bulb itself is short, usually around 300mm long. That compact size gives you a tight, precise heat zone. Perfect when you’re only heating a small part, a specific joint, or a narrow process area.
What It’s Made Of
Inside, the filament runs incredibly hot, so we don’t skimp on the housing. It’s encased in quartz, not regular glass. Quartz handles the intense heat shock and stays clear, even after being switched on and off again and again. And the halogen cycle? That’s the secret sauce. It takes evaporated tungsten and sends it back to the filament. This fights off blackening and keeps the output steady over the life of the lamp. For the connection, we use an R7s connector. It’s a practical, industrial choice that gives you a secure, two-contact fit. It’s easy to wire up and is consistent across different fixtures. If your machine uses an SK15 base instead, we can match that, too. The whole point is a drop-in replacement you can trust to stay aligned and reliable.
