
A Quick Guide to Our 220-240V Halogen Heating Elements
If you’re running an industrial process that needs heat—and needs it now—you’re probably looking at our halogen lamps. Here is the deal: these aren’t your typical resistive heaters. We use a tungsten filament tucked inside a quartz tube and fill it with halogen gas. That specific mix lets the filament run way hotter without burning itself out, which means you get a massive burst of shortwave infrared energy hitting your target. The Power Side of Things We build these for 220-240V for a simple reason: it makes your life easier. You can plug them right into most standard industrial grids. No bulky transformers, no messy workarounds. And because they rely on radiation instead of just heating up the air around them, the heat hits your workpiece almost instantly. It’s fast. Really fast. The Build The tubes are made of high-purity quartz. We do this because these lamps go from cold to scorching in a heartbeat, and cheap glass would just shatter under that kind of stress. Depending on what your machine looks like, we can fit these with R7s or SK15 connectors. We designed them to be drop-in replacements. When it’s time for maintenance, you just swap them out and get back to work. No one likes staring at a dead production line for hours. Where They Actually Work (And a Few Warnings) You’ll usually see these in things like PET bottle blowing, shrink wrapping, or curing automotive paint. Basically, anywhere you need to melt plastic or dry a coating in a matter of seconds. But, there are a couple of things you need to watch out for. First, quartz is fragile.**Do not let your team touch the glass with bare hands.**The oils from your skin create hot spots, and those spots can cause the tube to crack. Use gloves or a quick alcohol wipe during install. Also, keep an eye on your reflectors. If they get dusty or grimey, your efficiency tanks. The lamp has to work harder and run hotter to do the same job, which just eats away at the life of the filament. Keep them polished, and your lamps will last much longer.
