If you’re dealing with heavy-duty thermal loads, you need something that doesn’t mess around. That’s why we built this 460mm halogen bulb. At 230V and 3000W, it’s basically a heat cannon. The cool part? It uses shortwave IR. Instead of wasting time heating up the air around the part, the heat jumps straight into the material. It’s fast. Really fast. The Power and the Fit When you pack 3000W into a 460mm tube, you get a massive amount of power in a small space. This means your ramp-up times disappear. Plus, since it runs on a standard 230V, you can usually just wire it right into your industrial grid. No need to mess around with those bulky, expensive step-down transformers. It just fits. Why Quartz and Halogen? We went with a quartz envelope and filled it with halogen gas for a reason. Normally, tungsten filaments evaporate and gunk up the glass over time. The halogen cycle stops that from happening. The result? The tube stays crystal clear, and the lamp lasts much longer. The quartz also handles the “thermal shock” of being turned on and off rapidly without cracking. One quick tip: if you’re running these at full blast,clean your reflectors every week. Dust is the enemy here. If the reflector is dirty, your efficiency tanks and the lamp can actually overheat. Real-World Use (and a few warnings) You’ll mostly see these in PET blowing or plastic shrink tunnels. They provide that instant, intense heat needed to soften polymers so they can be molded perfectly. But look, this much power comes with a catch. The ends of the lamp get incredibly hot. Please, do yourself a favor:use high-temperature ceramic holders. If you use cheap wiring, it’ll melt. And keep an eye on your cooling fans. If the airflow drops, these tubes will burn out in no time. Keep the air moving, and they’ll keep working.
