The science of the heat
It all comes down to how much power you can pack into every millimeter. Whether you’re running a 230V or 400V system, you want that heat to be consistent. High-voltage tubes are great because they can be longer without pulling massive amounts of current, but they’re tougher on the insulation. That’s why we use high-purity synthetic quartz. It keeps the tube from warping or cracking when you’re cycling the heat up and down rapidly.
The little things that actually matter
We fill our tubes with halogen gas. It sounds technical, but all it really does is push the filament temperature higher while stopping the tungsten from evaporating too fast. It keeps the tube clear and makes the lamp last longer. Then there are the connectors. We use R7s and Sk15, so they just slide right into most industrial setups. But here is the real secret: we gold-plate or use high-grade nickel on the contact points. Why? Because oxidation at the terminal is where most budget heaters fail. We fixed that.
The honest trade-off
If you go with high-output shortwave heaters, you get an incredible amount of energy. It’s perfect for PET blowing or curing things fast. But there’s a catch. That much heat is intense. Your reflectors have to be perfect, and your cooling fans need to be up to the task. If your housing isn’t vented properly, the heat soak will fry your electronics. We provide the raw power.
